Writing is a lonely affair. Living with a story in the head and then in the notebook for years is a regular thing for most writers. But once the story is told, the file formatted, begins the tedious task of finding a home for the story. And while the wait is killing, the progress is limited for most.

Publishing, like all businesses, follows certain rules and most authors, especially unpublished ones, are in the dark about those. The literary agents try and light up those dark corners for new authors.

While literary agencies have been thriving for almost half a century now in the US and the UK, it is still an almost barren field in India and a terrain not many prefer walking. After having spent a decade working for publishers of repute in the country we felt it was time to walk the path of a literary agent.

So here we are at Purple Folio to look after writing talents, new and old. We pride ourselves in bringing in a professional touch and working closely with our authors and building bonds that go way beyond just a few books.
